DPM Fadillah Assures Transparency in Collaboration with MASDAR for Renewable Energy Projects

Kuala Lumpur, March 27, 2024 – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, reiterated the Government’s commitment to transparency and fairness in collaborations with international partners for renewable energy (RE) projects. Responding during the Dewan Rakyat session, Fadillah clarified the government’s stance on the collaboration between the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC (Masdar) for up to 10 GW of RE projects in Malaysia. He emphasized that the agreement between MASDAR and MIDA is a commercial arrangement, with the planning and execution left to the
