Immediate Opportunity to Reduce Scope 2 Emissions and Be RE100

Putrajaya, 10 August 2023 – We, the Energy Commission are pleased to announce thatthe Green Electricity Tariff (GET) programme will re-open tomorrow (11 August 2023) fornew subscriptions from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, with an available green energy quota of1,899 GWh for the 5-month contract period from 1 August 2023 to 31 December 2023.The GET programme enables RE100-focused and ESG-conscious companies/industriesto immediately obtain certified Green Energy up to 100% of their monthly electricityconsumption, and thus these companies/industries can immediately achieve their RE100goal with the internationally acclaimed and recognised Malaysia Renewable EnergyCertificate (mREC).The mRECs certify that every kWh of Green Energy
