Malaysia and Japan Collaborate on Clean Hydrogen Supply Chain in Bintulu, Sarawak

December 19, 2023, Kuching – SEDC Energy, in partnership with Japanese companies ENEOS Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation, has officially entered into a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) for the establishment of a clean hydrogen supply chain. This collaboration, known as Project #H2ornbill, is a significant step toward harnessing renewable energy for hydrogen production in Bintulu, Sarawak. The JDA, signed on October 25, 2023, aims to produce approximately 90,000 tons of clean hydrogen per year, with the goal of commencing commercial operations by 2030.
