SEAD Plant Launches Centre of Resilient Ecosystems (CoRE) at Kinta Nature Park

Batu Gajah, Perak – The Centre of Resilient Ecosystems (CoRE), an initiative by SEAD Plant was officially launched on the 14th of January 2023 at Kinta Nature Park, Batu Gajah Perak. A bamboo and vetiver planting activity involving people from different walks of life was held in conjunction with CoRE’s launch. The vetiver planting was in collaboration with Malaysia-Thailand Vetiver Bioremediation, a project led by Dr Chuck Chuan Ng from Xiamen University Malaysia. CoRE is an ecosystem restoration project that is aimed at regenerating heavily degraded ex-tin mining land into resilient, hyper-functional ecosystems. It creates livelihood opportunities for local communities
